Two Cups Ceremony - from Still Life with Interruption, a painting series

30,00

A still arrangement of an afternoon habit that refuses to be undone.

This series explores the profound emotional topography of the domestic space, specifically focusing on the family table as a site of both enduring presence and obvious absence. Some repeating elements anchor the narrative to shared rituals and subsequent void. The wrong and unsettling perspective mirrors the feeling of disequilibrium that missing a loved one can cause. And then, there are the empty chairs: placeholders for individuals.

Still Life with Interruption  is a meditation on memory. It seeks to capture how the energy of family lingers in objects and spaces, asserting its presence sometimes, strongly,  through the weight of its absence.
